VET in Schools Program (VETDSS Program)

Casey College of Beauty Therapy offer a VET Beauty Program. Our VETDSS (VET Delivered to Secondary Students) program allows you to gain practical, industry-related skills by combining your senior school studies with a Vocational Education and Training (VET) program.

Study the Certificate III in Beauty Services as a secondary school student and gain hands-on industry skills that will enable to become a beauty therapist. You will learn to interact with customers, providing a range of beauty services which may include make-up, waxing, nail technology, lash and brow treatments, and demonstrating and selling retail skin care and other cosmetic products. Ability to complete the FULL Certificate III in Beauty Services over the 2 years.

Our VETDSS (VET Delivered to Secondary Students) program allows you to gain practical, industry-related skills by combining your senior school studies with a Vocational Education and Training (VET) program.

• May be undertaken alongside, or as part of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or Victorian Certificate of Applied Learning (VCAL)
• Are approved by the Victorian Curriculum and Assessment Authority
• Are recognised within the Units 1-4 structure of Years 11 and 12
• Will contribute towards ATAR for satisfactory completion of the VCE

On Campus Program
You prefer a structured learning environment. This program includes a structured on campus timetable with online theory component. Students travel to either Berwick or Cranbourne campuses.

Class Sessions
Classes run on the following days from all campuses:
Wednesday 9:30am-1pm
Thursday 1:30pm-5pm
Friday 9:30am-1pm

VETDSS Application Procedure

• Call 1300 711 072 and ask to speak to the VETDSS co ordinator
• Make an appointment with your careers advisor at your school and inform them you wish to study the VETDSS Program with Casey College.
• Make an appointment for a college course consultation and tour.
• Lodge your enrolment form and advise the secondary school that you have enrolled.

Have you finished year 12 and completed your Certificate III through the VETDSS Program and would like to upgrade to the SHB50121 Diploma of Beauty Therapy?

• Submit an enquiry form through the website.
• Call 1300 711 072 and ask to speak to the Course Consultant
• Make an appointment for a college course consultation and tour.
• Enrol into your chosen qualification.
